For more than three decades, Monica Turner has dedicated her career to caring for, educating, and supporting children and families throughout Belle Glade and the surrounding Glades communities.
As the founder and licensed provider of Monica Turner Family Child Care, Monica has built her program around a simple and enduring belief: every child deserves to feel safe, valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

What began as a commitment to providing dependable child care for working families has developed into a longstanding community program built on trust, consistency, and meaningful relationships. Over the years, Monica has cared for generations of families, creating connections that often extend well beyond a child’s time in her care.

Her approach to early childhood care combines nurturing relationships with intentional learning experiences that support the whole child. Children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, communication skills, curiosity, and positive relationships through age-appropriate educational activities, creative experiences, play, healthy routines, and positive guidance.

Monica believes that strong early childhood programs are most successful when providers and families work together. Family communication and partnership have therefore remained central to her philosophy throughout her career. She values getting to know each child as an individual and working closely with parents and caregivers to support developmental progress, daily routines, emerging skills, and changing needs.
For more than two decades, Monica also served children and families through an Early Head Start partnership, providing comprehensive early childhood services within her Family Child Care setting. That experience further strengthened her commitment to child development, family engagement, health and safety, professional accountability, and high-quality early learning.

Today, Monica Turner Family Child Care continues its longstanding commitment to children and families as a Florida-licensed Family Child Care provider and participant in the School Readiness Program through the Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County. The program serves infants through school-age children and provides both daytime care and weekday aftercare to support the needs of working families.

After more than 30 years, Monica’s mission remains consistent: to provide a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment where children are cared for with compassion, families are treated as partners, and every child is given the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive.
