PHILOSOPHY & PEDAGOGY

"Rooted in the body, guided by intention. Designing learning, guiding growth."
My teaching philosophy centers on the dancer as a whole person—physical, emotional, intellectual, and creative. I aim to build training environments that are rigorous, inclusive, and student-centered, where technique and artistry are developed in tandem. I see dance as a vehicle for self-awareness, cultural literacy, and long-term artistic sustainability.
In both my curriculum design and coaching, I balance classical foundations with contemporary innovation. My work is informed by national standards, culturally relevant pedagogy, and a deep commitment to anatomical awareness and injury prevention. Whether designing a full-year program or mentoring students one-on-one, my goal is to guide dancers toward both technical fluency and confident artistic identity.
